JONDOE — Business Terms & Conditions

These Business Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Jondoe (“Jondoe,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and any business, brand, or authorized representative (“Business,” “you,” or “your”) that submits information, content, images, offers, or otherwise participates in the Jondoe platform (the “Platform”).
By submitting information or participating in any way on the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
1. About Jondoe
Jondoe is a curated date-planning platform designed to help couples discover high-quality local businesses and experiences in San Diego, California.
Jondoe selects and features businesses based on internal curation and editorial judgment. Jondoe is not a booking agent, reseller, event organizer, or service provider unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
2. Business Submissions & Accuracy
You are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information—including business name, location, pricing, descriptions, hours, offers, and images—is accurate, current, and lawful.
We may edit, format, shorten, or remove submitted content for clarity, consistency, brand voice, or quality.
Jondoe does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any business information displayed and is not responsible for errors, omissions, outdated information, or changes made after submission.
3. No Guarantee of Inclusion or Placement
Submitting a business does not guarantee inclusion, placement, ranking, or continued presence on the Platform.
Jondoe reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to approve, reject, suspend, reposition, or remove any listing at any time, with or without notice.
4. Listing Notice, Verification & Removal Requests
a) Listing Notice. If we add a business listing (or make a material update), we may notify the Business by email using the address publicly listed on the Business’s official website and/or the contact email provided by the Business.
b) Removal Requests. A Business may request that its listing be removed from the Platform at any time by contacting us at team@heyjondoe.com.
c) Response Window (4 business days). If we contact you regarding (i) a removal request clarification, (ii) verification of listing details, or (iii) updates you requested, you will have four (4) business days to respond. If we do not receive a response within that timeframe, we may proceed based on the information available to us, including keeping the listing live as-is or completing the requested update/removal as reasonably determined by Jondoe.
5. Discounts, Offers & Visibility
If you voluntarily offer a discount, perk, or benefit to Jondoe users:
You agree to honor the offer exactly as described.
The offer must be available to all eligible Jondoe users without hidden conditions.
Businesses offering verified discounts may receive increased visibility at Jondoe’s discretion.
Failure to honor an offer may result in removal of the offer, suspension, or removal from the Platform. Enforcement decisions are made by Jondoe and are final.
6. Pricing & Fees
At launch, Jondoe does not charge users or businesses to be listed.
Jondoe reserves the right to introduce paid features, sponsorships, partnerships, or premium placements in the future. Any future fees will be communicated in advance, and continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
7. Editorial Independence & Curation
Jondoe operates as a curated platform. Listings are selected based on experience quality, relevance, and alignment with Jondoe’s mission. Jondoe is not required to list all businesses or maintain listings indefinitely.
8. Images, Content & Usage Rights
a) Business-Provided Content License. If you submit photos, videos, logos, brand assets, or written content to Jondoe, you represent that you own the content or have permission to provide it. You grant Jondoe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, reproduce, display, edit (for formatting), publish, and distribute that content in connection with (i) your listing on the Platform and (ii) Jondoe marketing that promotes the Platform.
b) Third-Party / Public Content. Jondoe may display business identifiers and factual listing information (e.g., business name, address, categories, hours, and links to official pages). Jondoe will use photos or media only when we have a reasonable basis to do so (for example, content you submit, content you explicitly authorize, or content obtained under a license).
c) Takedown of Media. If you believe any content on the Platform should be removed (including photos), contact us at team@heyjondoe.com. We will review and, when appropriate, remove or update content within a reasonable timeframe.
d) Indemnity (content). You agree to indemnify and hold Jondoe harmless from claims arising out of content you submit or authorize us to use.

9. No Responsibility for Business Operations
Jondoe is not responsible or liable for business operations, services, pricing, availability, food safety, customer experience, disputes, cancellations, refunds, injuries, dissatisfaction, or losses. All interactions and transactions occur directly between the Business and the user.
10. Termination
Jondoe may suspend or terminate a listing at any time if a Business violates these Terms, submits misleading information, fails to honor offers, or negatively impacts user trust or platform integrity. Termination decisions are final.
11. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updates take effect upon posting. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
